Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to teams focusing on safety, efficiency, cost management, and employee engagement.
- Manage personnel to ensure product manufacturing meets customer expectations and adheres to quality standards.
- Oversee the Facilities team and external partners to ensure proper maintenance and operation of site facilities and equipment.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aimed at reducing costs while enhancing efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Handle personnel activities including budgeting, staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate effectively with various teams across multiple functions and locations.
- Establish and standardize processes to evaluate effectiveness and drive improvements.
- Support audits by customers and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with training and documentation requirements.
- Negotiate and manage procurement of services and equipment to support operational needs.
- Work with financial leadership to create annual budgets and lead cost reduction initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, operations, engineering, or a related field; a graduate degree is preferred.
- Experience in biotechnology, medical device, or pharmaceutical sectors is advantageous.
- Knowledge of real estate and construction processes is desirable.
- Formal certifications in lean manufacturing (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt) are preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems is beneficial.
- Background in facilities management or building maintenance, particularly in technical environments, is a plus.
- Proven experience in risk and change management.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles is essential.
- Familiarity with engineering systems and capital equipment purchasing processes is required.
- Demonstrated success in managing teams and customer relationships in operational settings.
