Key Responsibilities:

As a Room Attendant, your duties will include:

  • Daily changing of bed linens to ensure freshness.
  • Vacuuming carpets to maintain cleanliness.
  • Dusting all surfaces, including furniture, picture frames, and electronic devices.
  • Removing fingerprints and smudges from mirrors, windows, and other shiny surfaces.
  • Thoroughly cleaning bathrooms, including showers, sinks, floors, and toilets.
  • Ensuring compliance with standard room setup protocols.
  • Promptly reporting any damages or missing items found in guest rooms.
  • Returning personal items found in vacant rooms to the appropriate personnel.
  • Notifying the Executive Housekeeper regarding the presence of rollaways or cribs for proper storage.
  • Managing the pass key responsibly and ensuring its return at the end of each shift.
  • Timely submission of all lost and found items to the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper on various situations, including:
    • Absence of luggage
    • No service required
    • Sleep outs
    • Extra guests
    • Any unusual occurrences
  • Turning off all lights, televisions, and air conditioning units upon leaving a room.
  • Assisting fellow housekeeping staff with additional cleaning tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Reasoning Ability: Capability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in various formats.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and understand figures related to discounts and percentages.
  • Reading Skills: Proficiency in interpreting business records and statistical data.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to:

  • Stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks.
  • Lift and/or move items weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Distinguish differences in visual details, such as line widths.

Work Environment:

The role is primarily indoors, with exposure to temperature variations. Candidates should be prepared to work effectively in a dynamic environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to manage stress.
