Paradigm is an innovative software enterprise transforming the residential, construction, and building product industries globally. We are seeking a Head of Marketplace Partnership Strategy to lead our initiatives in driving growth and innovation in these sectors.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing our marketplace by attracting distributors and wholesalers to feature their products on our platform. This position requires a strategic mindset to engage potential sellers and cultivate successful partnerships. Additionally, you will work closely with manufacturers and brands, promoting the advantages of our marketplace for product distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive strategy to onboard distributors, wholesalers, and manufacturers to our marketplace, particularly those serving residential builders and subcontractors nationwide.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of our technology and future vision to effectively convey our objectives to prospective partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and brands, demonstrating the benefits our marketplace offers for expanding their market presence.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify optimal potential partners in various market segments, utilizing this information to customize partnership proposals and strategies.
  • Provide ongoing support and management to partnerships, ensuring satisfaction, resolving issues, and enhancing their performance on our platform.
  • Lead negotiations with prospective partners within established parameters, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with our strategic goals. Successfully finalize contracts that deliver value to both homebuilders and subcontractors on our platform.
  • Develop and enhance presentations that articulate the value proposition to various partners addressing diverse aspects of home construction material needs.
  • Collaborate with product and technical teams to ensure that the marketplace meets the requirements of our partners and customers.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience, ideally 15+, in the homebuilding sector. Strong knowledge of market dynamics and product categories gained from roles in sales or marketing at reputable companies.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Proven expertise in negotiation, with a history of securing successful partnership agreements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with a diverse partner network.
  • Demonstrated experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnership management, particularly within distribution or wholesaling for residential construction.
  • Familiarity with distribution channels and sales strategies specific to the construction industry, especially in dealing with national and regional distributors.
  • A strategic thinker capable of analyzing market trends and translating them into actionable partnership strategies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and teams.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the single-family residential construction market and the network of distributors, wholesalers, and manufacturers catering to its needs.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels, willing to engage in specifics while also envisioning long-term objectives and inspiring a team.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, embracing rapid change and continuous learning.
  • A skilled problem-solver with a competitive, high-energy approach, acting promptly and effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
  • Highly organized, with experience managing multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables throughout your career.
  • Background in team management, including recruitment, coaching, development, and mentorship.
  • Experience in e-commerce or marketplace platforms, particularly in roles involving the engagement of third-party sellers, is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to participate in industry events and engage with potential or current partners. Travel requirements anticipated to be under 25% initially, subject to change.
