As an Electrical Project Management Engineer in the semiconductor sector, you will be pivotal in guaranteeing the successful execution of electrical components within extensive projects. Your role will involve working closely with field supervisors, overseeing project timelines, and delivering technical insights in the design and implementation of electrical systems. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of electrical raceways, cable trays, and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation of Drawings and Specifications: Aid field supervisors in understanding drawings, specifications, IRs/RFIs, and inquiries from the Architect/Engineer, particularly concerning electrical raceways and cable trays.
  • Project Timeline Management: Assist in formulating and updating the project schedule, particularly for electrical installations, ensuring timely completion and synchronization with overall project timelines.
  • Design Support and Detailing: Provide assistance for form detailing and specialized design concerning electrical raceways and cable trays, ensuring all designs comply with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Efficiency Analysis: Conduct studies on production efficiency focusing on electrical components to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Mentorship and Development: Guide, manage, and mentor office engineers, concentrating on the enhancement of their electrical knowledge and professional development.
  • Compliance with Safety Standards: Engage in jobsite safety meetings and weekly safety audits, emphasizing electrical safety practices and regulations.
  • Inspection Involvement: Facilitate and/or take part in Preparatory Meetings, Initial Inspections, Follow-up Inspections, etc., with a strong focus on electrical systems and their compliance.
  • Knowledge of VDC: Maintain a working understanding of the VDC Scope of Work, VDC Execution Plan, and VDC deliverables, especially related to electrical systems.
  • Alignment of VDC Strategies: Ensure VDC strategies are aligned with project planning concerning field operations for electrical work, including schedule coordination, model coordination for submissions, constructability reviews, installation validation, BIM to Field Layout, and Field Layout to BIM.
  • Proficiency in 3D Modeling and Scheduling Software: Capable of reviewing and navigating the current 3D model viewing and scheduling software for electrical systems, ensuring precise planning and execution.
  • Effective Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the VDC team, focusing on electrical raceways, underground cabling, and cable trays to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical engineering within the semiconductor sector.
  • Expertise in VDC methodologies and associated software.
  • Strong comprehension of electrical systems, including raceways, cable trays, and underground cabling.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Dedication to safety and compliance in all job aspects.
  • 2-4 years of experience in construction involving electrical equipment.
Education / Licenses / Certifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
