Position Summary:

The Golf Shop Attendant plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the golf shop under the guidance of the on-duty manager. This position requires a commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include managing point of sale activities, welcoming and checking in guests, maintaining merchandise displays, and promoting the various programs and services offered by the golf course.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver exceptional customer service to all guests.
  2. Utilize point of sale systems efficiently for reservations and guest check-ins in a dynamic environment.
  3. Possess a solid understanding of cash handling and credit card transactions.
  4. Have a basic knowledge of golf course layout and the rules of the game.
  5. Familiarity with Pro Shop merchandise and sales techniques.
  6. Assist with Junior Golf programs and other golf-related activities as needed.
  7. Support Cottonwood Lodge operations when required.
  8. Effectively communicate district policies, promotions, and programs to guests.
  9. Collaborate with Outside Services, Concessions staff, and Golf Professionals to facilitate tournaments.
  10. Maintain personal hygiene and adhere to uniform standards.
  11. Ensure cleanliness and organization within the Pro Shop and its surroundings.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  13. Be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  14. Engage in physical activities such as bending, stooping, walking, and standing throughout the shift.
  15. Be prepared for varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
Qualifications:
  1. Previous experience in a golf-related role is preferred.
  2. Strong communication skills are essential.
  3. Excellent listening and comprehension abilities are required.
  4. Positive interpersonal skills are necessary for guest interactions.
  5. Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  6. Capability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  7. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
  8. A valid driver's license is required.
  9. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
  10. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  2. Experience in sales is beneficial.
  3. Basic computer proficiency is necessary.
  4. A valid driver's license is mandatory.
