We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Preschool Director to become part of our leadership team in Montgomery County. Georgetown Hill Early School has been dedicated to meeting the preschool, elementary, and childcare needs of Maryland families since 1980. Our mission is to unite educators, children, and their families to foster an exceptional early childhood educational experience.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage a vibrant preschool campus in alignment with our core organizational values.

Compensation: Starting at $65,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit strong leadership among campus staff
  • Promote a nurturing and welcoming environment for all
  • Oversee daily operations of a busy preschool setting
  • Lead campus enrollment efforts, including marketing initiatives, managing the campus CRM system, conducting tours for prospective families, and adhering to enrollment protocols
  • Handle campus HR functions, including developing staffing patterns, supporting professional growth, payroll processes, and fostering positive staff morale
  • Interpret and implement all MSDE and OCC regulations to ensure compliance; this includes maintaining and enhancing MSDE accreditation and EXCELS ratings
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of student, family, and staff information, as well as other sensitive data, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of relevant leadership experience and the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field, OR a non-education degree with MSDE 90-hour Preschool and Infant & Toddler Certification, OR CDA with Preschool and Infant & Toddler Endorsement.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with the MSDE 45-hour Administration Certification
  • A warm, friendly, and composed demeanor
  • Proficient in utilizing various technological tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Team-oriented and collaborative
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies
  • Thorough knowledge of MSDE regulations

In accordance with Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must undergo and successfully complete a state and federal background check as a condition of employment.
