Key Responsibilities

This role involves leveraging design expertise to assist customers in selecting high-quality casual furniture, delivering exceptional customer service, and cultivating lasting customer relationships.

  • Customer Engagement: Utilize design skills to guide customers in choosing upscale casual furniture.
  • Exceptional Service: Provide outstanding customer service and foster long-term relationships by understanding customer needs and aligning them with suitable products.
  • Order Management: Process furniture purchase orders and input them into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Pricing and Display: Ensure accurate pricing and signage on display models.
  • Sales Goals: Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall sales performance.
  • Product Knowledge: Act as an internal resource regarding custom furniture and vendor options to assist garden center customers effectively.
  • Enhancing Experience: Improve the shopping experience for customers and create a welcoming environment.
  • Area Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the indoor sales area; restock, tidy displays, and ensure proper signage placement.
  • General Cleaning: Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of indoor spaces.
  • Safety Standards: Adhere to company safety policies and procedures consistently.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Working Conditions
  • Indoor Environment: Primarily work indoors with some exposure to outdoor conditions.
  • Physical Requirements: Regularly stand, walk, sit, talk, and listen throughout the day. Occasionally lift weights up to 50 pounds and handle weights up to 75 pounds.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous customer service and sales experience is essential, with a preference for retail experience. Design knowledge is also beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills, basic math and measurement abilities, proficiency in computer systems and POS software, and excellent communication skills in English.
