Job Description

A leading IT Solutions Company in the Middleton, WI area is seeking a Help Desk Support Level II Technician to be located onsite with one of their top clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support of incoming requests to the service desk via various channels to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues.
  • Provisioning and system setup for new hires, ensuring seamless integration into the company's infrastructure.
  • Prioritize incidents and service requests according to defined processes to meet defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Utilize remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in resolving support requests, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Server administration via Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, DHCP, ensuring secure and efficient network operations.
  • Install antivirus software and ensure virus definitions are up to date, protecting the company's network from potential threats.
  • Network firewall and switch administration and maintenance, ensuring the security and integrity of the company's network infrastructure.
  • Optimizing and maintaining network software and hardware, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Building and deploying file servers and cloud computing solutions, providing scalable and secure storage and computing resources.
  • Configuring and deploying VOIP solutions, enabling seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Manage Microsoft Exchange Server, ensuring efficient and secure email management.
  • Monitor alert systems and take appropriate action as per guidelines, ensuring prompt response to potential issues.
  • Ability to use various messages in an event log to affect repairs, demonstrating expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Receive escalated service requests requiring an enhanced response, providing exceptional support and service to the client.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers, and workstations, Exchange server, and Active Directory.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a client-facing environment, such as sales engineering, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Experience writing proposals for and implementation of technical solutions to fulfill business needs, demonstrating expertise in technical sales and business development.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, professional, reliable, and a team player, with a strong understanding of technology and business productivity systems.
  • Experience with RMM (remote monitoring and management) tool a plus, demonstrating expertise in remote monitoring and management.
  • Ability to problem solve at a high level, extraordinary customer service skills, strong multi-tasking, and organizational skills, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and support.
  • Sales training experience is a plus, demonstrating expertise in sales and business development.
  • Having worked in an MSP environment is a major plus, demonstrating expertise in managed services and IT support.
Ideal Qualifications
  • CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certification, demonstrating expertise in networking and security.
  • CompTia Server+ certification, demonstrating expertise in server administration and management.
  • CompTia Network+ certification, demonstrating expertise in network administration and management.
  • HDI Support Center Analyst certification, demonstrating expertise in IT support and service delivery.
  • MTA certification, demonstrating expertise in Microsoft technologies.
  • MCDST certification, demonstrating expertise in Microsoft desktop support.
  • CCENT certification, demonstrating expertise in Cisco technologies.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist certification, demonstrating expertise in Microsoft Office applications.
