Key Responsibilities

This role involves leveraging design expertise to assist customers in selecting high-quality casual furniture, delivering outstanding customer service, and fostering enduring customer relationships.

  • Customer Engagement: Utilize design skills to guide customers in choosing upscale casual furniture.
  • Exceptional Service: Provide outstanding customer service and cultivate long-lasting relationships by understanding customer needs and aligning them with suitable products.
  • Order Management: Process furniture purchase orders and input them into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Pricing and Display: Ensure accurate pricing and signage on display models.
  • Sales Goals: Achieve and contribute to sales objectives.
  • Product Knowledge: Act as an internal resource regarding custom furniture and vendor options to effectively assist customers.
  • Shopping Experience: Enhance the shopping experience for customers and create a welcoming environment.
  • Area Maintenance: Maintain the indoor area, including replenishing and organizing displays and ensuring proper signage placement.
  • Cleaning Duties: Conduct general cleaning and maintenance of indoor spaces.
  • Workplace Safety: Adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Working Conditions
  • Indoor Focus: Most work is conducted indoors.
  • Outdoor Exposure: May involve exposure to various outdoor weather conditions.
  • Physical Requirements: Regularly stand, walk, sit, talk, and listen for extended periods. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and manage weights up to 75 pounds.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous customer service and sales experience is essential; retail experience is preferred. Design knowledge is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, basic math skills, and proficiency in computer use and POS systems.
  • Communication: Excellent customer service and communication skills are necessary.
