The Education Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the USAFSAM En Route Care Training Department by assisting in the creation and maintenance of educational platforms that comply with academic standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver educational and training support for faculty within the USAFSAM En Route Care Training Department, focusing on aeromedical evacuation, advanced critical care, trauma, and infectious disease training for Department of Defense medical personnel.
- Ensure that all courses offered by the USAFSAM En Route Care Training Department meet the necessary academic standards and operational readiness criteria.
- Apply extensive knowledge of nursing care theories and practices to address both administrative and clinical challenges effectively.
- Oversee the initiation and ongoing evaluation of training programs to assess their effectiveness.
- Develop and manage the conferment of continuing education credits for nursing and medical education.
- Assist in program modifications and provide consistent feedback to relevant stakeholders to ensure program reliability.
- Contribute to the development of medical policies related to the Air Force Medical Readiness Program.
- Identify resource needs and collaborate on curriculum development for current and future training sites.
- Engage with clinical consultants to discuss training standards and educational objectives.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance resource utilization and propose innovative solutions for training enhancement.
- Gather and analyze training data to produce reports that highlight training deficiencies and implementation challenges.
- Regularly review data collection processes and update tools for accurate program assessment.
- Work with stakeholders to establish objectives that align with organizational goals.
- Communicate complex information clearly and effectively, ensuring alignment with USAFSAM objectives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of four years of experience in a healthcare-related environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in word processing, PowerPoint, and SharePoint applications is preferred.
- Ability to create Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Familiarity with clinical practice guidelines and educational methodologies is preferred.
- Understanding of applicable Air Force standards is essential.
- Knowledge of military and civilian policy guidelines is required.
- Experience with Comprehensive Medical Readiness Program and nursing competencies is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems is preferred.
- Experience in course direction and course control documentation is advantageous.
