About the Role

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a skilled Nutrition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Food and Nutrition department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional nutritional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nutritional Assessments: Conduct thorough nutritional assessments for all patients, providing input into Nutritional Support Service rounds and monitoring patient progress.
  • Diet Planning: Develop and implement personalized diet plans for tube-fed and TPN patients, instructing patients and families on special diets and general nutrition principles.
  • Patient Care: Develop and implement plans of care based on clinical data, patient interviews, and treatment goals, providing oversight to dietetic technicians in providing patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field.
  • Certifications: Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (in place or received within 6 months of hire).
  • Experience: One to three years of experience in a related field, with strong analytical, computer, and communication skills.
  • Attributes: Exceptional customer service and patient care skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
