Job Summary

As an Hourly Supervisor at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., you will be responsible for leading a team of associates in a specific area of the store. Your primary goal will be to ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining a well-organized and stocked area, providing excellent customer service, and working collaboratively with your team to achieve sales and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, responding to their questions and concerns in a timely and effective way.
  • Area Maintenance: Ensure that your area of the store is well-organized, clean, and stocked with merchandise, maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and store appearance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate your team of associates, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, using basic math skills to ensure that stock levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Event Planning: Assist in planning and executing events and promotions in your area, working collaboratively with other teams to ensure a successful outcome.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and management.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of associates.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions, working collaboratively with others to resolve issues.
  • Math Skills: Basic math skills, with the ability to maintain accurate inventory levels and perform other mathematical tasks as required.
