HR Generalist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to provide professional human resources services and consultation for all employees at Share Our Strength.
About the Role- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including benefits administration, recruitment, new hire onboarding, and policy development.
- Process new hire paperwork, create new hire correspondence, and coordinate orientations.
- Maintain HR department and employee files, as well as provide scheduling support to the Chief People Officer and HR team.
- Process monthly invoices and provide support to the Benefits Manager in benefits administration.
- Maintain periodic reports and queries using reporting tools, and assist with recruitment processes, including posting positions and generating offer letters.
- Coordinate internal and external trainings, and support the organization's internship program.
- Maintain new hire paperwork for AmeriCorps staff, create welcome packets, and facilitate timely mailing of items to staff.
- Collaborate with HR to maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations, and enter and maintain employee information in the HRIS system.
- Coordinate the Buddy Program and partner with colleagues to support Share Our Strength's work in diversity and inclusion.
- Administrative support to the HR team, including benefits administration, recruitment, and policy development.

- HR department and employee file maintenance, as well as scheduling support for the Chief People Officer and HR team.
- Benefits administration support, including monthly invoice processing and benefits-related tasks.
- Recruitment process support, including position posting and offer letter generation.
- Internal and external training coordination, and internship program support.
- New hire paperwork maintenance for AmeriCorps staff, welcome packet creation, and timely mailing of items to staff.
- Compliance with federal and state employment regulations, and employee information maintenance in the HRIS system.
- Buddy Program coordination and diversity and inclusion support.
- 1-2 years of human resources or administrative experience.
- Strong skills in MS Office suite, with experience in HRIS systems a plus.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR processes, with a proven interest in learning more about and growing within the HR field.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Clear and effective written and oral communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of emotional intelligence and judgment.
- Interest in food justice, anti-hunger, and/or anti-poverty issues.
