The HR Generalist provides support for a variety of human resources activities including routine administration of compensation and benefits, recruiting, employee relations, training, and compliance. The HR Generalist provides support to managers, supervisors, and employees in regards to all HR practices, employment law, and company policies. Assists with policy audits as needed. HR Generalist interacts with all internal and external customers in a caring and respectful manner in accordance with our Core Values philosophy.

Principal Roles and Responsibilities

Recruiting and Staffing
o Conduct a variety of recruiting activities: creating on-line and print media advertising, posting and sourcing positions
o Partnering with hiring managers to screen, verify references, schedule interviews, and respond to all candidate inquiries
o Updating candidate profiles and job descriptions as needed
o Perform all necessary pre-employment process: professional license verifications, background/MVR checks, and scheduling both drug screens and TB tests
o Maintaining and updating candidates workflow status and communicating updates with candidates and hiring managers

On-boarding/training
o Creating, sending, approving all new hire on-boarding paperwork
o Data entry - inputting all new hires in to HRIS, tracking sheets, and phone trees
o Preparing and facilitating on-site orientation
o Track and maintain all personnel documents and files

Employee Engagement
o Develop and maintain positive employee relations and open lines of communication with all levels of hourly, salaried, and executive employees and vendors.
o Actively participate in all continuous improvement activities that align with WB's overall strategic planning initiatives.
o Actively participate in the development of reports and analyzing HR data

Performance Management
o Ensure disciplinary actions are administered appropriately and records maintained accurately
o Counsel Managers on corrective action plans through the WB coaching process
o Administer and counsel managers on annual performance reviews and feedback procedures

Off-Boarding/Miscellaneous
o Conduct all exit-interviews
o Approve assigned invoices

o HR Projects and other duties as needed
