The Role:
The Event Coordinator will assist in the seamless execution of public programs and private events at Fruitlands Museum. This customer-facing position is essential in engaging visitors and promoting the mission of The Trustees. The role is part-time and year-round, with a focus on weekends, evenings, and holidays. Responsibilities include event setup and breakdown, greeting attendees, selling memberships, and facilitating program activities. The Event Coordinator will strive to provide an outstanding visitor experience while encouraging support for The Trustees.

Compensation:
$16.50/hour - $18.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with event preparations, including setup and decoration.
  • Collaborate with private event hosts to ensure their needs are met.
  • Educate visitors about the value of membership and facilitate on-site sales.
  • Welcome and orient visitors, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Manage social media updates related to events.
  • Ensure compliance with property rules and maintain a clean environment.
  • Perform cash and credit transactions accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding safety and maintenance issues.
Qualifications:
  • Friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for public engagement.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Calm and articulate under pressure, especially in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
  • Commitment to the mission of The Trustees and enhancing visitor experiences.
