Position Summary:
The Event Coordinator will assist in the seamless execution of public programs and private events at Fruitlands Museum. This role is pivotal in engaging visitors and enhancing their experience while promoting membership opportunities. The position is part-time and may require work during weekends, evenings, and holidays. Responsibilities include:
- Setting up and breaking down event spaces, including arranging furniture and decorations.
- Welcoming guests and managing check-in processes.
- Providing information about membership and selling memberships on-site.
- Assisting with program activities and ensuring a positive visitor experience.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of event areas.
- Communicating with team members regarding safety and operational needs.
- Enthusiastic and approachable, with a passion for engaging with the public.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to visitor satisfaction.
- Detail-oriented and responsible, with a focus on safety.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
- Independently motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
