JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and patient care coordinators within the organization. This role involves facilitating and coordinating safe, high-quality clinical care, treatment, and services in collaboration with senior management and other clinical leaders.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Director of Clinical Services
Supervises Nursing and Patient Care Coordination staff
Oversees the Immunization Coordinator

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage Nursing and Patient Care Coordination staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
2. Ensure adequate staffing resources are available, including the training and competency assessment of per diem staff.
3. Oversee the scheduling and coverage of nursing and patient care coordination staff to ensure operational efficiency.
4. Manage departmental budgets, including monitoring overtime and ensuring timely completion of timesheets.
5. Collaborate with the Medical Assistant Manager on orientation and clinical competency education for nursing and care coordination staff.
6. Coordinate and implement new clinical services or enhancements within the health center.
7. Actively participate in various committees, including Quality Improvement, Operations, Safety, and Infection Prevention.
8. Oversee the Immunization Program and ensure compliance with clinical staff competency requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Registered Nurse (RN) with 2 to 4 years of management experience required; BSN preferred. A current New Hampshire RN License is mandatory.
Must hold a valid BLS Certification.

Experience:
Preferred experience in community health with a solid understanding of compliance requirements and clinical tracking.

Skills:
Ability to delegate effectively, work independently, and make informed decisions. Strong interpersonal communication skills, organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a solid clinical knowledge base are essential.
