Key ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties:
- Conduct selected nursing and administrative functions.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including taking medical histories and vital signs.
- Under appropriate supervision, perform specimen collection and basic laboratory tests typical in a medical practice.
- Set up examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Administer injections and apply dressings as directed.
- Ensure the preparation and maintenance of clinical supplies and equipment, including sterilization processes.
- Assist physicians during minor surgical procedures and examinations.
- Support the scheduling of tests and treatments for patients.
- Manage the ordering and inventory of clinical and office supplies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Compile technical and statistical data for reporting purposes.
- Participate in required meetings and committees as needed.
- Collaborate closely with physicians to receive guidance on patient care.
- Deliver direct patient care as instructed by the supervising physician.
- Maintain effective communication and interpersonal skills with supervisors, staff, and patients to ensure coordinated efforts.
- Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Adhere to professional standards and corporate policies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing and patient scheduling as required.
- Demonstrate support to colleagues and assist in problem-solving as directed.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of medical practices and organizational policies.
- Familiarity with examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
- Understanding of medical equipment and instruments.
- Awareness of safety hazards and precautions in a healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in documenting and maintaining patient care records.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to react calmly in emergency situations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.
