IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to our employees. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users via various channels, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Assist with setting up new user accounts and profiles, and resetting passwords when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups.
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and IT procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance IT infrastructure and services.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to support continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and productivity software (Microsoft Office, G Suite).
  • Experience with desktop hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
  • Ability to articulate issues, problem-solve, and analyze with creative and outside-of-the-box thinking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with end-users at all levels of the organization.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are advantageous but not required.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years relevant experience.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
