Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support both external and internal clients across various time zones, with opportunities for remote work for qualified candidates.

This position is under the supervision of the Field Service Resources Coordinator.

As a part of our dynamic Field Service Operations team, candidates are expected to demonstrate exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, along with a self-driven work ethic.

Core Duties:
  • Conduct overhauls and repairs on 2-stroke marine diesel engines.
  • Perform advanced mechanical troubleshooting and system integration for 2-stroke engines and related equipment.
  • Engage professionally with clients throughout the service process.
  • Oversee the commissioning of service products.
  • Lead and manage onsite teams during project execution.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of assigned tasks.
  • Assist in the preparation of Service Work Reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Wärtsilä's quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Provide updates on work order statuses to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Continuously seek and implement best practice solutions.
Qualifications:
  • A commitment to safety in all operations.
  • A desire to enhance your knowledge of 4-stroke engines.
  • Relevant technical education or a combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience in reciprocating engine repair and overhaul.
  • Experience with turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems, and cooling systems.
  • Ability to interact professionally and provide solutions to clients.
  • Experience with slow-speed 2-stroke engines is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus.
