Job SummaryThe 3rd Assistant Engineer will be responsible for operating and maintaining the engine room and other mechanical systems and equipment onboard the vessel. This role requires strong technical skills and attention to detail to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular rounds of all machinery spaces and equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Assist with starting and stopping auxiliary machinery as directed by the duty engineer
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure
  • Ensure the engine room and other machinery spaces are clean and oil-free
  • Monitor and maintain proper fluids, coolants, and oils in the main engines
  • Participate in health, safety, and environmental initiatives and safety programs
Requirements
  • Previous offshore experience
  • USCG Medical Certificate
  • USCG Master of Mercantile Marine Certificate
  • TWIC Card or TWIC Renewal Receipt (preferred)
  • ROS status
  • Valid passport
  • Visa Sponsorship Not Available
Preferred Requirements
  • T-HUET / BOSIET / FOET certification
  • Marshall Island License
