Job Title: Therapeutic Behavioral Aide

Overview:

Health Connect America is a leading provider of mental and behavioral health services to children, families, and adults across the nation. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Therapeutic Behavioral Aide to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct care services, provide behavioral guidance, and offer training and support to individuals in Health Connect America programs.
  • Enhance the functional, daily, and community living skills of individuals facing developmental disabilities, substance abuse issues, and emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Provide one-on-one direct behavioral intervention with children/youth or support and training with individuals, including positive role modeling, time-structuring activities, and behavioral reinforcements.
  • Assist group leaders in daily group activities, provide cognitive behavioral approaches, and help individuals engage in or remain engaged in appropriate activities.
  • Collaborate with caregivers and guardians to provide a positive environment for the individual.
  • Verify and ensure all required forms are completed and on file, maintain confidentiality, and report incidents of suspected child and elder abuse.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, parents, and guardians, and attend ongoing supervision, treatment team meetings, and other meetings or trainings as required.

Qualifications:

Requirements differ by state due to varying regulations and standards. Please refer to the specific state requirements listed below:

  • AL: Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology, social work, child development, or a closely related field, and two years of experience providing services to children/youth in a mental health environment; or Associate of Arts Degree and four years of experience in direct service with children/youth within the behavioral health population.
  • NC: High school diploma or GED required; however, Associate's degree is preferred. Human services experience is preferred, and must possess current CPR/FA, NCI certification, BBP training, or complete training and certification within the mandated time frame.
  • MS: High school diploma or GED required. Human services experience is preferred, and experience working with children is preferred. Must have a driver's license, car registration, and vehicle insurance, if providing transportation for individuals receiving services.
