Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution, ideally with coursework in career guidance, occupational information, or adult education.
  • A degree in social or behavioral sciences is highly regarded.
  • Exceptional skills in customer service along with strong verbal and written communication abilities are crucial.
  • Familiarity with Air Force terminology, office protocols, and educational programs, as well as proficiency in WINDOWS 10, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Notify the Education and Training Flight Chief of any expected absences from scheduled units at least 24 hours in advance, barring emergencies.
  • Guide students in exploring suitable academic or training institutions and programs.
  • Serve as the primary contact for outreach related to SkillBridge and other educational initiatives, while maintaining educational records and conducting follow-up actions.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, forms, and maintain associated records and logs to facilitate job functions.
  • Deliver customer service by assisting walk-in clients, managing phone inquiries, scheduling appointments, and conducting informational briefings as required.
  • Provide briefings to active duty personnel, their spouses, and Department of Defense civilians regarding available educational programs.
  • Offer advice on voluntary off-duty education, the SkillBridge program, Air Force tuition assistance, federal financial aid options, and local scholarship opportunities.
