Job Summary

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled High Power Microwave/Radio Frequency Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for the development and deployment of High Power Microwave/Radio Frequency systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform critical analysis of technical data packages, including SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR presentations, HPM acceptance test planning/results, HPM lethality analysis, and HPM risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide recommendations on emplacement of HPM system to maximize lethality while limiting impact to equipment.
  • Interface with Naval Surface Warfare Division-Dahlgren HPM SME's to provide RCCTO leadership with recommendations on a wide range of efforts being conducted.
  • Work with all stakeholders to gain approval to operate HPM system both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Perform all source analysis to acquire required technical specifications.
  • Provide Professional Engineering Advice, guidance and assistance in various stages of research, development and deployment.
  • Formulate/estimate technical parameters that are not available from all source analysis.
  • Support preparation of risk assessment reports, safety assessment reports, and technical data packages and presentation materials.
Requirements
  • Must have experience evaluating, coordinating, and risk mitigations with HPM/RF systems.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
  • Desired Qualifications:
    • Must be able to effectively work within a multi-disciplined team, including program management and technical/engineering personnel, preferred.
    • Experience with Directed Energy Weapon Initial Operational Employment Review and Approval Process (DEWRAP) process, preferred.
    • Experience with wide range of sensors (EO/IR, Radar, etc.), preferred.
    • Experience with non-kinetic effectors (Lasers, EW, etc.), preferred.
Security Requirements

Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.

Travel Requirements

Occasional Travel- less than 10%

Physical Requirements

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Communicating with others to exchange information. Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
