Job Summary:

The successful candidate will serve as an HPM/RF Engineer for the U.S. Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Indirect Fire Protection Capability - High Power Microwave (IFPC-HPM) in Huntsville, AL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform critical analysis of technical data packages, including SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR presentations, HPM acceptance test planning/results, HPM lethality analysis, and HPM risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide recommendations on emplacement of HPM system to maximize lethality while limiting impact to equipment.
  • Interface with Naval Surface Warfare Division-Dahlgren HPM SMEs to provide RCCTO leadership with recommendations on various efforts being conducted.
  • Work with stakeholders to gain approval to operate HPM system both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Perform all-source analysis to acquire required technical specifications.
  • Provide Professional Engineering Advice, guidance, and assistance in various stages of research, development, and deployment.
  • Formulate/estimate technical parameters that are not available from all-source analysis.
  • Support preparation of risk assessment reports, safety assessment reports, and technical data packages and presentation materials.
Requirements:
  • Experience evaluating, coordinating, and risk mitigations with HPM/RF systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplined team, including program management and technical/engineering personnel.
  • Experience with Directed Energy Weapon Initial Operational Employment Review and Approval Process (DEWRAP) process.
  • Experience with wide range of sensors (EO/IR, Radar, etc.).
  • Experience with non-kinetic effectors (Lasers, EW, etc.).
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Security Clearance Requirements:

Active Secret clearance.
