YOUR ROLE
As a Territory Sales Consultant at ABV, your primary objective will be to bolster the company's sales initiatives. You will be tasked with establishing and nurturing professional relationships with key distributor personnel and retail accounts to enhance sales and elevate brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and fortify essential relationships with our distributor partners.
- Engage and motivate distributor sales representatives.
- Meet volume and distribution goals within your designated territory and target accounts.
- Organize special events, festivals, beer dinners, and tastings as required.
- Enhance product visibility by optimizing merchandising within retail spaces.
- Track daily activities and achievements using the company's field execution tool.
- Educate distributors and retail staff on all brands.
- Collaborate with the Area Sales Manager and Key Account Manager to meet team objectives and implement new marketing strategies.
- Utilize data to identify opportunities and gain insights into business performance.
- Oversee beer inventory to ensure appropriate levels of core and seasonal offerings.
- Maintain the company's high-quality standards.
- Complete administrative tasks promptly (expense reports, work calendar, etc.).
- Uphold a professional image and demeanor consistently.
- Perform additional business-related tasks as assigned.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business or Marketing.
- 1-2 years of experience in craft beer sales is preferred; candidates with beverage sales or consumer goods experience will be prioritized.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook, with reliable internet access.
- A genuine passion for craft beer and its culture.
- A results-oriented, dynamic, and confident personality.
- Strong local connections and knowledge of the local market.
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
- Must reside in the area where the position is based.
- Certification as a Cicerone or Certified Beer Server is a plus.
- Willingness to regularly visit bars, restaurants, and other retailers; flexible work schedule is essential.
- A valid state driver's license is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
Alcohol Responsibility: Candidates must recognize that they represent both the company and the alcohol beverage industry, conducting themselves within legal limits and promoting responsible consumption at all times. Any negative reflection or legal issues arising from poor judgment may result in disciplinary action, including termination.
