Regional Quality Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Quality Manager to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing quality operations for 5 plants across the US.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a safe working environment and develop and maintain the organizational chart, budget, and business planning for the group.
  • Create and support operations standards necessary to support manufacturing process activities.
  • Lead the regional standardization team to recognize process improvement targets, identify best practices, and industrialize through the quality management system.
  • Work closely with production, tooling, project engineering, and other departments as required.
  • Identify and engage resources, champion problem-solving concepts, and activities.
  • Manage the regional management of plant quality operations, including risk identification, inspection, disposition, scrap, escalations, and nonconforming material management.
  • Manage production quality managers' training and development.
  • Understand and interpret customer requirements and successfully transfer to production units.
  • Review and approve capital project requests, ensuring overall activities and costs stay in line with the budget.
  • Verify that all products are transferred to production units with a capable process.
  • Negotiate with customers where applicable for manufacturing process items.
  • Protect the customer and the company through containment activities and corresponding countermeasures.
  • Support SQE/QSD at trials and audits to ensure feedback on issues.
  • Ensure communication to customers and customer portal updates meet requirements.
  • Report out operations quality activities and results, develop and track department KPIs.
  • Follow documented ISO and TS16949 systems.
  • Manage PQE groups' participation in improvement activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • Exhibits the ability to build effective business relationships internally and externally.
  • High focus on developing operations regional standards.
  • Plastics industry, OEM, and new model experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead a department in all aspects.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and report to all levels of management.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and effectively participate and contribute to team projects.
  • Must be analytical and make sound decisions based on data and budget awareness.
  • Expectation is that this position will travel as much as the business dictates.
  • High level of ability to focus on details.
