Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Regional Quality Manager to serve as successor to Director of Quality and oversee quality operations for 5 plants across the US. This role requires strong quality leadership background in automotive manufacturing and the ability to promote a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a Safe working environment
  • Develop and maintain the organizational chart, budget and Business Planning for the group.
  • Create and support the Operations Standards necessary to support MP activities.
  • Lead the Regional Standardization Team to recognize process improvement targets, identify best practices and subsequently industrialize through the QMS system.
  • Work closely with Production, Tooling, Project Engineering, and other departments as required
  • Identify and engage resources
  • Champion of Problem solving concepts and activities
  • Responsible for the Regional management of plant quality operations including risk identification, inspection, disposition, scrap, escalations and Nonconforming material management.
  • Manage the Production Quality Managers training and development
  • Understand and interpret customer requirements - Successfully transfer to the Production units
  • Review/approve capital project requests. Ensure overall activities & costs stay in line with the budget.
  • Verify that all products are transferred to the production units with a capable process – HVPT focus
  • Negotiate with the customers where applicable for MP items (Ex: Customer Complaints, sorting, etc)
  • Protect the customer and the company through Containment activities and corresponding countermeasures.
  • Support SQE/QSD at trials and audits to ensure feedback on issues.
  • Ensure communication to customers and customer portal updates meet requirements.
  • Report out Operations Quality activities and results. Develop and track department KPI's
  • Follow documented ISO & TS16949 systems.
  • Manage PQE groups participation in Improvement activities - GNNP
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 yrs management experience. Other education and experience will be considered
  • Exhibits the ability to build effective business relationships internally and externally.
  • High focus on developing the Operations Regional Standards
  • Plastics Industry, OEM and New Model experience
  • Strong Problem Solving skills
  • Ability to lead a department in all aspects
  • Ability to clearly communicate and report to all levels of management
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and effectively participate and contribute to team projects
  • Must be analytical and make sound decisions based off of data and budget awareness
  • Expectation is that this position will travel as much as the business dictates
  • High level of ability to focus on details.
