Position Overview:

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is in search of an experienced Commercial Construction Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a reputable organization.

The role involves overseeing a significant commercial project, ensuring that all aspects of construction are executed efficiently and safely.


Compensation:
$110,000-$140,000/year base

Key Responsibilities:
1. Champion the company's safety protocols and conduct thorough investigations of any safety incidents.

2. Manage subcontractors and orchestrate the overall workflow, ensuring effective coordination among contractors, subcontractors, and inspectors.

3. Assess construction schedule performance and identify areas for improvement.

4. Facilitate various meetings, including daily standups, weekly trade discussions, and safety briefings.

5. Develop, manage, and refine the comprehensive master construction schedule in collaboration with project stakeholders.


6. Create preliminary schedules, logistics plans, and workforce charts during the pre-construction phase.

7. Ensure all necessary permits are secured and maintain positive relationships with local inspectors.


8. Monitor and manage project budgets and expenditures.

9. Strategize project plans, address unforeseen challenges, and devise effective solutions.

10. Identify, manage, and mitigate potential risks.

11. Adhere to the project documentation system, updating all necessary records and logs.


12. Collaborate with the team to prepare and negotiate cost estimates, budgets, and assessments of constructability.

13. Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment for the project.

14. Ensure compliance with quality standards through specifications and quality assurance processes.

15. Partner with field leadership to determine staffing needs for the project.

16. Ensure all modifications to specifications and work scope are properly documented.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in the construction sector as a manager or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years in commercial construction.


Familiarity with managing commercial retail projects, including specialty retail, office spaces, and multifamily housing.

Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Office, scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet), and project management platforms (Procore or similar).

Willingness to travel as required.

A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.


Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record to be eligible for company vehicle insurance.
