Job Description Summary

BD is a global medical technology company that advances the world of health. We are seeking an experienced marketing professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Alternate Site Marketing. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a US Region strategy for non-acute, alternate site care settings across all applicable Business Units.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Alt Site commercial strategy, ensuring respective Business Units are positioned to meet customer needs in the space.
  • Partner with the Strategic Customer Group, BU Marketing teams, and USR Marketing functions to ensure short and long-term growth objectives.
  • Act as USR Marketing leader for Alt Site segments and customers, collaborating with SCG & BU Marketing Leadership to coordinate region-wide initiatives and drive execution.
  • Create multi-business unit strategy resulting in clear value offer and commercial strategy to accelerate category position gains in Alt Site segments.
  • Develop business case in conjunction with BUs to create new line extensions/SKUs/kits specifically serving Alternate Site markets (as needed).
  • Partner with USR Sales and cross-BU marketing leadership in strategy development, offer development, and growth strategy execution.
  • Set USR revenue growth and market share goals and align on cross-BU growth objectives. Report on performance and be accountable for USR results.
  • Drive Annual Strategic Review (ASR) plan as well as annual business plan including financial submissions.
  • Ensure focus on revenue growth, margin improvement, and other related priority measures as requested by leadership.
Requirements
  • BS/BA in Business, Life Sciences, or a closely related discipline. MBA desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant Marketing experience in medical device and/or Life Science market is required with demonstrated success in strategic planning and a bias towards commercial impact.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant Sales experience in medical device and/or Life Science market (preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years of Marketing Management; leading others in Marketing (preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams (preferred).
  • Track record of achievement in delivering large and/or multiple projects and influencing business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement commercial strategies, and convert these into tactical marketing plans, delivering results.
  • Solid business acumen and knowledge of clinical and/or laboratory market environment.
  • Sound decision-making capabilities and the ability to make decisions, even in the absence of consensus when necessary.
  • Creative out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious, stays current on new trends, and takes calculated risks with novel ideas.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for a wide variety of audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, advisory boards, and potential or existing business partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities.
