Key Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise and manage Clinical Directors within assigned markets, ensuring successful clinical operations and meeting/exceeding plan market earnings.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Regional Presidents and Clinical Leadership to drive quality improvement initiatives and population health management.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor Clinical Directors to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes and customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with payers, specialists, and community partners to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction and market clinical strategies to drive business growth and improve profitability.
Requirements
  • MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar specialty required.
  • A minimum of 2 years' clinical experience required; 3 years preferred.
  • Strongly prefer 1 year's previous experience as Medical Director or equivalent with a Medicare or Medicaid patient population.
  • Board eligibility is required; Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or similar is preferred.
  • Current, active license to practice medicine in the State of employment.
  • High-performing physician with a proven track record of clinical leadership experience.
  • Experience with population risk management or complex chronic disease care management.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams in quality improvement and/or medical/healthcare leadership activities preferred.
