Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
- Conduct visual inspections of tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Identify and locate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings, and operate them as needed.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts and materials as required.
- Communicate with other shifts to ensure that daily activities and problems are addressed.
- Display proficiency in one or more of the following areas: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management.
- High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background.
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
- Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting.
- Supervisory experience is not required.
