Job Overview

Position Title: Client Services Associate

Role Summary: The Client Services Associate is tasked with delivering exceptional and efficient service to members while managing loan applications. This role requires an understanding of members' needs and the ability to recommend suitable products and services, all while adhering to our core mission.

Required Qualifications: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in banking is required. Preference will be given to candidates with two (2) years of experience in customer service and sales. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Proficiency in mathematics is essential for accurate cash handling.

Key Responsibilities of the Client Services Associate:

  • Uphold a professional and positive representation of the Credit Union.
  • Deliver prompt, accurate, and courteous service to members while efficiently processing transactions. Build trust and rapport by assisting members with their account needs.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with security protocols of the Credit Union.
  • Verify the accuracy of paperwork and ensure timely scanning.
  • Promote loan protection products and encourage referrals.
  • Assist members with various consumer loan requests, including auto, boat, motorcycle, and personal loans.
  • Oversee loan recapture and indirect loan listings to maximize member benefits.
  • Manage the title work process, ensuring accuracy and timely recording, while correcting any identified errors.
  • Ensure proof of insurance is obtained for all processed loans, including coordinating with members and insurance agents.
  • Efficiently manage a cash drawer, processing member transactions accurately, balancing at the end of each shift, and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
  • Adhere to Check Acceptance protocols.
  • Follow all procedures for branch opening and closing.
  • Handle title work and safe deposit box transactions as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Receive training on all aspects of the Credit Union's IRA processes.
  • Conduct scanning and auditing of loans.
