Position Summary

The role involves executing a variety of transactional responsibilities to assist members by accurately handling deposits and withdrawals. You will maintain precise transaction records and facilitate various member account activities, including savings and checking transactions, as well as services like money orders and cashier's checks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome members to the credit union with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Act as a representative of the credit union, maintaining a high standard of service.
  • Process transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
  • Adhere to federal regulations regarding account holds.
  • Follow BSA and CIP policies to ensure proper member identification.
  • Issue cashier's checks, money orders, and certificates upon request.
  • Maintain accurate daily records for auditing and compliance purposes.
  • Ensure a balanced cash drawer and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Manage and balance the branch vault, including counting and verifying currency.
  • Promote credit union products and services, including loans and financial education.
  • Assist with loan applications and closures.
  • Ensure the teller station is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Complete inventory of branch supplies as directed by management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by executive management.

Work Environment

This position is situated in a standard office environment, utilizing common office equipment such as computers, phones, and calculators. The role requires manual dexterity and the ability to lift files and open cabinets. Employees must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
