Event Concierge Job Description

At Grand Hyatt Vail, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Event Concierge to join our team. As a key member of our events operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring the success of their events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support events operations and direct sales efforts of Grand Hyatt Vail and Destination Residences.
  • Answer phones professionally, detail information accurately, and communicate all inbound calls with Sales & Events team.
  • Perform property site tours and submit purchase orders, amenities, supply orders, World of Hyatt Points, and inbound leads into Hyatt software systems.
  • Help with group VIPs and alerts sent out to the hotel, and offer warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Resort.
  • Coordinate communication between the Events Office, Front Desk, Engineering, Culinary, and Food and Beverage Departments for Definite Groups and Social Events.
  • Resolve guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness, and maintain constant awareness of safety issues.
  • Attend Daily Stand-up Meeting, Weekly Resume Meeting, and other departmental meetings as assigned.
  • Project a professional company image through in-person, email, and phone interactions.
  • Perform general clerical duties including information flow in support of events team, and manage confidential information with discretion and respect of privacy to high-profile guests.
Requirements:
  • High level of knowledge of the offerings for both resorts, accommodations, and departments.
  • Ability to work as a team member and project enthusiasm and a hands-on mentality.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate time records and follow proper standards for issuance of rooms.
