Direct Support Professional

Evergreen Life Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Associate to join our team. As a Direct Support Associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining a healthy, safe, and therapeutic environment for individuals served, while following through on their individual plans of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Encourage independence and empower individuals to perform tasks and grow in independence.
- Ensure the health and welfare of individuals served, including assisting with medication and treatment plans as needed.
- Assist with daily life activities, such as meal preparation, household chores, and personal care.
- Make food and non-food purchases for the home, prepare meals, and ensure the maintenance of the home and grounds.
- Complete required documentation and implement behavioral and other programs as trained and requested.
- Assist individuals with their goals and identify potential behavior triggers to ensure safety and well-being.
- At least 18 years of age (non-driver) or 21 years of age (driver).
- Effectively read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
- Meet and maintain all requirements of the applicable state agency, including good standing with state abuse and neglect registry.
- Ability to learn basic computer skills and prior experience as a direct support worker is preferred.
