Job Description

Selling Diagnostics products to end-users by engaging indirect sales channels via product and sales training is a key responsibility of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform business evaluation/coaching rides (DBDCs) with Franchisees as directed by RDM using current DBDC format.
  • Document all business evaluation/coaching rides (DBDCs).
  • Coordinate and perform one seminar per week to customers.
  • Teach product and sales skills to Franchisees.
  • Secure orders for additional Diagnostics products.
  • Demonstrate products to customers.
  • Perform product training to customers.
  • Attend FPT meetings to present promotions.
  • Staff and support trade-shows, and attend sales meetings as required.
  • Perform customer education/sales seminars.
  • Keep current with automotive and computer technology through reading or attending applicable courses or seminars.
  • Maintain assigned inventory levels.
  • Maintain and roll up weekly forecast and sales plan update in DSD.snapon.com.
  • Manage calendar in Outlook and maintain all metrics as per current DSD.snapon.com.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Years of Experience: 3-5 years of experience with automotive industry in some capacity (personal, professional).
  • Other Requirements:
    • Understanding and operation of electronic equipment.
    • Excellent PC skills and Internet experience.
    • Communications and presentations.
    • Solid understanding of automotive repair business as it relates to ROI and marketing of repair services.
    • Territory management.
    • Negotiating.
    • Ability to travel 30-80% of the time (depending on region of country).
