Job Title: DSP-PT

At Support Solutions of the Mid South, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate DSP-PT to join our team. As a DSP-PT, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to lead self-directed lives and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and daily support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to maintain their independence and dignity.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual.
  • Assist with daily activities, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal grooming, to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Transport individuals to appointments, events, and community activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including daily shift notes and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, family members, and other support staff, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
