SUMMARY
Oversees and directs all financial accounting operations and initiatives. Coordinates and manages the monthly closing cycle and the preparation of consolidated and individual financial statements, along with the accounts payable process, either personally or through team members.

- Deliver exceptional service to clients and colleagues by upholding our mission statement.
- Guide and mentor the daily operations and development of the Accounting and Accounts Payable teams.
- Generate precise and timely financial reports that detail and summarize business activities, providing updates on organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the formulation of annual operational and capital budgets.
- Maintain automated financial systems to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Ensure prompt processing of invoices and timely vendor payments.
- Review fixed assets for accurate accounting and conduct quarterly audits of physical assets.
- Monitor banking transactions and ensure adherence to established guidelines.
- Prepare internal financial reports as required by management.
- Guarantee an accurate and timely close at the end of each month, quarter, and year.
- Ensure compliance with all internal controls, policies, and procedures, as well as any applicable regulatory standards.
- Engage with external auditors as necessary.
- Compile reports required for regulatory and tax authorities.
- Maintain balanced general and subsidiary ledgers.
- Ensure monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
- Provide training to new and existing staff as required.
- Assist the Vice President of Finance with special projects and process improvements.
- Maintain effective communication with all departmental leaders.
- Implement approved departmental policies and procedures.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to departmental budgets through effective processes.
- Prepare necessary data for budget considerations within the area of responsibility.
- Stay informed about competitive changes, including industry trends.
- Foster a positive work environment.
- Promote a disciplined atmosphere that enhances safety, quality, and productivity.
- Assist in coordinating training and development for team members.
- Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards and applicable regulations.
- Present a positive image of the organization to clients and vendors.
- Adhere to all safety policies and attend scheduled safety meetings as a condition of employment.
- Make fair and honest decisions in challenging situations.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Directly and indirectly manage all personnel within the Finance Department, adhering to organizational policies and applicable laws.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities, including but not limited to: interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining staff; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma (or GED)
- Five (5) years of supervisory or management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel and Access; experience with industry-specific software is a plus.
- Must pass random drug screenings.
- Must successfully complete a background suitability investigation.
- Must obtain necessary licenses and certifications.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.
