Electrical Engineer Level 2 Job Description

At Supreme Integrated Technology, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer Level 2 to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Develop controls, instruments, and systems for marine, defense, oil & gas, and industrial applications.
  • Electrical Schematics and Layout: Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
  • System Integration: Integrate electrical systems with other systems such as hydraulic controls, hydraulic power units, ship onboard systems, and collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Manufacturing and Installation: Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Direct and coordinate the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and efficiency. Stay updated with advancements in electrical engineering and incorporate new technologies and best practices.
  • Engineering Software and Tools: Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Sustaining Engineering Support: Provide sustaining engineering support to operations, technical support, application development, and sales and marketing for design-related issues with existing products.
  • Mentorship and Training: Mentor less experienced engineers and support the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 and understand the implications of not complying with the quality management system.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or a closely related field.
  • Experience: Four or more years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a closely related field. Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, standards, and regulations is a plus. Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment is also a plus.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong electrical design and debugging skills. Proficiency in MS Excel and Word is required for data analysis and reporting. Strong interest in analog circuit design and analysis. Must enjoy hands-on type electronic circuit work. Knowledge of the design and analysis of fundamental switching regulator and converter topologies, including flybacks, buck, and boost.
