Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care
    • Greet patients and their pets in a friendly and welcoming manner
    • Educate clients on the importance of preventative care and provide guidance on animal health
    • Assist with medical procedures and provide support to our veterinary team
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Register new patients and update necessary records
    • Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments
    • Field phone calls and respond to client inquiries
  • Office Environment
    • Maintain a clean and organized waiting room environment
    • Ensure that all necessary forms and paperwork are completed and accurate
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with our veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care
    • Communicate effectively with clients and other team members

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred
  • Ability to lift, restrain, and move 50-pound animals
  • Physical ability to stand, reach, and bend on a regular basis
