Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Regional Manager to lead our Commercial Lines Account Management team in assigned regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operational activities of the team, ensuring exceptional client retention, and supporting the USI sales process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team of account managers, providing training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Keep the account management team informed on industry trends and USI processes through regular team and individual meetings.
  • Ensure the team achieves a client retention rate of 92% or above, meeting with account managers to strategize on upcoming renewals.
  • Promote account rounding and cross-sell/referral opportunities, working with regional and national leadership to meet corporate profit and growth objectives.
  • Optimize the Select Commercial Lines book of business via a client service model, comprising account management, outsourcing, and segmentation.
  • Develop and maintain carrier relationships to renew policies timely and solve client and account management issues.
  • Maintain quality control, utilizing reports to renew policies, avoid lapses in coverage, and achieve service goals, performing periodic quality audits.
  • Adhere to the company's credit and collection policy in invoicing and pursuing prompt client payments.
  • Oversee team workload and maintain appropriate staffing levels, creating and maintaining relationships with regional peers to foster internal stewardship.
  • Develop effective interdepartmental communication strategies, fostering team behavior and a sales-oriented culture.
  • Integrate new acquisition personnel and clients to the Select Commercial Lines service model and processes, supporting new business growth and assigning service team resources.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance Agency.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Prior managerial experience preferred, with the ability to manage others effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of agency management system functionality, workflow procedures, underwriting, sales, and service processes.
  • Must hold a state Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred or expected to pursue a designation.
  • Ability to conduct complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
  • Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred, but not required.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
