Job Description

The University of Pennsylvania is seeking a highly motivated Research Project Manager B to lead two large research studies aimed at dismantling structural racism. The successful candidate will work closely with the Penn Opportunity for Health Lab and the Penn Urban Health Lab to oversee all aspects of study implementation, including the development and execution of study protocols, budget management, and data collection and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and execution of study protocols, ensuring compliance with Penn IRB, NIH regulations, and requirements.
  • Manage the study budget and financial oversight.
  • Implement continuous quality improvement measures to maintain data collection and intervention fidelity.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and statisticians to manage all aspects of data collection and management.
  • Foster and manage relationships with key partners, including Clarifi, Campaign for Working Families, Benefits Data Trust, Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, and the City of Philadelphia.
  • Supervise the CRC-C and a team of five CRC-Bs responsible for neighborhood data collection and household-based interventions.
  • Partner with co-investigator Dr. Meghan Lane-Fall to support the development and execution of the study's qualitative aims.
  • Assist with manuscript development, translation and dissemination activities, grant applications, budget development, and presentation preparations for national conferences.
Requirements
  • Master of Science, Master of Arts, and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • The ideal candidate is passionate about the health and well-being of Black and other minoritized communities, has knowledge and understanding of the regulatory and administrative mechanics of large research studies, and has experience coordinating large research studies, ideally community-based studies including data collection and management of large and complex teams.
