Job Summary:
Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently looking for a Tax Analyst. This role will primarily focus on indirect tax compliance, including sales and use tax, VAT, GST, WHT, property tax, and various state and local tax filings. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Tax Manager and collaborate with a dynamic finance team to perform a range of tax functions encompassing both indirect tax and income tax. The individual will be responsible for ensuring all tax filing deadlines and reporting requirements are met accurately. A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines is essential. This position is based in the company's headquarters and requires full-time in-office attendance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in tax compliance reporting for sales and use tax (including estimates and extensions) to ensure timely and accurate filing of all obligations.
• Focus on in-house income tax compliance using OneSource and work on automation and process improvements to enhance income tax operations.
• Calculate book-tax differences and prepare supporting documentation for tax returns.
• Prepare state apportionment and track state tax payments for reconciliation.
• Handle other state and local taxes, annual report filings, POA, and FBAR.
• Assist in addressing inquiries from tax authorities related to notices and examinations.
• Ensure compliance with SOX tax documentation controls.
• Maintain the tax calendar.
• Contribute to other tax projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master of Taxation is preferred.
- CPA certification is required.
- 5+ years of tax experience in both public accounting and industry settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of management.
- Proficient in Excel.
Salary Range
$97,000 - $113,000
The salary offered will depend on various factors, including location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
