Capital Development Director

Baceline Group, a leading owner and operator of small format, necessity-based Neighborhood Shopping Centers across the United States, is seeking a seasoned Capital Development Director to join its Investments team. This key role will report to the President and work closely with the Executive Team to drive strategic investment partnerships for Baceline's core income fund.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source Strategic Investment Partners: Identify and secure new investment partners through wealth management and institutional investment channels, attend industry conferences and networking events, and conduct investor/advisor meetings and events.
  • Key Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders through regular updates, industry knowledge, market insights, etc.
  • Due Diligence Liaison & Research: Work directly with the Executive Team to complete due diligence requests and research initiatives for future institutional fund structure and capital partnerships.
  • External Communications: Collaborate with Investor Relations, Acquisitions, Leasing, Business Operations, and Property Operations Teams to draft quarterly reports for current strategic partners and contribute to PR/Marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Investment Industry Expertise: Offer expert guidance on investment decisions, ensuring all investment practices adhere to applicable regulations/standards, and perform in-depth evaluations of financial markets, emerging trends, economic indicators, and overall market conditions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with an area of concentration in Finance, Business, Management, or Communication preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in financial services/capital markets (private equity, alternative investments, real estate products preferred) and proven track record in raising capital
  • Possess an extensive network of relationships with wealth managers/financial advisors, institutional and retail (HNW) investors, and/or other capital partners
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to quickly build trust, relationships, and break down barriers of entry
  • Extremely resourceful, highly organized, and excellent priority management skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and work demands
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation

$100,000--$190,000/year based on experience and performance (range includes base salary + performance-based incentive compensation)
