The Senior Store Sales Leader is responsible for embodying the Mattress Firm vision, driving company initiatives, and achieving sales performance targets by ensuring team accountability in executing in-store merchandising across multiple locations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading sales initiatives and driving key performance indicators across multiple store locations.
  • Training and mentoring store staff in sales techniques, product knowledge, and operational procedures, while providing constructive feedback, conducting annual performance reviews, and creating Individual Development Plans.
  • Maintaining professional communication with field employees to address immediate concerns and inquiries.
  • Assisting in the staffing process, including interviewing and hiring qualified candidates for multiple stores.
  • Continuously enhancing skills and product knowledge through assigned training and company-led activities.
  • Managing workforce activities, including store staffing schedules and reconciling employee hours, with support from the Operations team.
  • Achieving or surpassing financial targets for individual stores through effective execution and superior customer service.
  • Ensuring compliance with product merchandising, marketing, and point-of-purchase standards.
  • Upholding company policies, including appearance and functionality standards, as well as state regulations.
  • Collaborating with marketing to develop and implement a social media strategy that enhances brand awareness and boosts sales.
