About the Role

Columbia River Mental Health Services is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Community Medicine team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to individuals with severe, persistent mental illnesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct physical assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the individual treatment team (ITT)
  • Provide individual supportive therapy and symptom management, as well as educate and support clients' families
  • Advocate for clients' rights and preferences, and consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in the treatment process
  • Document client progress and participate in daily staff organizational meetings and treatment planning review meetings
  • Develop, revise, and maintain medical treatment and medication policies and procedures, including transcribing, administering, evaluating, and recording medical services/referrals made
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse license or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Two to four years experience working with chronically mentally ill adults, and current knowledge of psychopharmacology
  • Basic understanding of mental illness symptoms and knowledge of psychological medications
  • Drivers License, car insurance, and reliable transportation preferred
