Job Overview

The Southwest Washington Regional Surgery Center is looking for a relief status Surgical Services Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team within the Surgery Center. This role does not require on-call duties, weekends, or holiday shifts.

Our team consists of highly skilled nurses and clinical professionals dedicated to providing outstanding patient care throughout all stages of the surgical experience.
  • Growth Opportunities: We have recently launched an Interventional Procedural Center and expanded our operating rooms, which will enable us to conduct an additional 1,800 to 2,000 surgeries annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care to individuals undergoing surgical procedures in an ambulatory setting.
  • Evaluate and manage patients recovering from general anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care, and intravenous sedation.
  • Provide comprehensive care, assessment, and education to patients in the pre-operative area.
  • Effectively supervise recovery processes.
  • Opportunity to take on team leadership roles.

Qualifications:

  • Relief status employees must be available for at least 4 shifts every 6 weeks.
  • Candidates must be registered with the Washington State Department of Health.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in pre-operative, emergency room, acute care, or intensive care settings is required.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, organizational skills, effective communication, a positive attitude, and good team collaboration skills are essential.
