Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure exceptional service is provided to customers while offering direct support and information to both clients and management.
  • Manage dispatching activities, facilitate operational communication, and assign personnel to maximize the use of resources.
  • Supervise and guide bus operators regarding safety protocols, service standards, and scheduling.
  • Ensure all routes are adequately staffed with the appropriate vehicles and personnel.
  • Utilize company operating systems to monitor and enhance on-street service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and agreements.
  • Assist in special projects and events as necessary to maintain service quality.
  • Foster a safe working environment for all operational activities.
  • Oversee disciplinary actions in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Training departments on employment and development matters.
  • Investigate incidents and complaints, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Maintain operational records for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Fill open shifts daily and manage workforce requirements effectively.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal bus allocation for service demands.
  • Directly supervise operational staff at various locations.
  • Conduct day-to-day dispatch services from multiple operational sites.
  • Manage performance evaluations, employee recognition, and address any workplace issues.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A high school diploma or GED, with two years of relevant experience or training; college coursework is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with a Passenger endorsement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and a minimum age of 21.
  • Familiarity with the service area and the ability to read maps.
  • A commitment to customer service and a hospitable demeanor.

Physical Demands:
The role requires the ability to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. Candidates should be able to lift up to 100 pounds and possess good vision capabilities.

Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to various weather conditions and mechanical operations while performing their duties. A moderate noise level is expected in the work environment.
