Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective customer relations strategies to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Communicate effectively with location staff, support team members, and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance plans and ensure fleet availability to meet service requirements.
  • Develop and implement safety and training programs to ensure compliance with company, contract, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Conduct regular departmental audits to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Review and analyze key operational metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Ensure accurate management of location financial metrics, identifying exceptions, and developing action plans to meet financial, safety, and operational expectations.
  • Implement, promote, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the bridges committee to effectuate positive changes to policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Participate in labor and employee relations activities to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Provide insights and information to support location contract renewals.
  • Develop and present location annual budgets.
Requirements:
  • College degree or equivalent business management experience.
  • Management experience required.
  • Shuttle experience required, university shuttle preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience in operations management and 7 years of management or supervisory experience in a transit environment.
  • Passion experience preferred.
  • Expertise in labor/union(s) negotiations and expenses.
  • Full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and safety DOT and FTA compliance.
  • MS Office, strong analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and high degree of multi-tasking skills.
